August 1990. In the midst of a war that threatened to shatter the vulnerable bonds that held the Middle East together, a baby was born. Crying, kicking and still nameless - the child looked up into its mothers eyes and smiled. "His name will be Bassam (the one who's always smiling)".

And the rest is history! Rumour has it I built my first helicopter at the age of six (it might have been a LEGO helicopter - okay, definitely a LEGO one).

I'm a product designer and innovation strategist that uses storytelling and 'cowboy prototyping' (basically sticking electronics onto cardboard) as my main weapons. Oh, and smoky barbecue sauce.
